Connected Together – Business Continuity

Share

A Message from Bill Fathers

During this global COVID-19 pandemic, all of us are facing new challenges and adapting to change. Unless in an essential services role, most of us are at home with our families, working and learning online as well as connecting with friends, family, goods, services and entertainment online.

Even core services like medical, education and government are operating online completely during this crisis. Telehealth is how we connect with doctors for routine care or pressing issues. Across the globe, 9 out of 10 students are out of school worldwide. By mid-March 54 million students were home as schools closed across the U.S., but five states had not mandated school closures still.

The surge in internet traffic is mindboggling. Networks are key to keep us connected, collaborative, educated, productive, active, entertained and safe. Recently, internet traffic spiked around the globe with increases up to 40 percent in some cities, regions and countries.

The Interconnection hubs within Cologix’s data centers provide essential services every day – and play a critical role during times of crisis. We are proud to be on the frontline, connecting people and information, helping businesses and communities to make the best of this difficult time.

The Cologix Family is here to help connect your enterprise to our rich ecosystem of cloud service providers, carriers, partners and diverse customers across government, healthcare, financial services, content & media providers, software and hardware solutions as well as countless other businesses that support our lives every day.

We’ve been amazed witnessing agencies, institutions and businesses pivot quickly to respond to these new circumstances. We want you to know our data centers and IT infrastructure are fully operational to support all of our customers and help keep your businesses’ data and connectivity operational.

We continue to monitor, follow and adapt to guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and federal, state and local governments and public health agencies to mitigate disruption or risk to your critical operations. We have expert, essential operational staff onsite at our data centers to manage our infrastructure following specific safety protocols.

During this time, we are limiting customer and vendor visits to our data centers unless deemed essential to reduce the risk of infection and support social distancing measures. We’re offering expanded remote hands services to help you update, maintain and troubleshoot your systems. With that in mind, we’re requesting customers use remote hands services and customer portal for service requests.

To learn more about our Business Continuity services during COVID-19, we put together a quick overview.

At Cologix, we’re honored to provide support to you, your family, co-workers, patients and customers. We understand the importance of connectivity, availability and resiliency to meet growing demand.

We’re here to help you stay connected.
