This shared model allows for more efficient use of power, cooling and space, lowering energy use and emissions per workload.

Across our footprint, Cologix continues to improve operational performance through targeted upgrades, smarter energy management and continuous monitoring. These efforts help ensure that our facilities operate as efficiently as possible while maintaining the reliability our customers need.
Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), one of the industry’s key efficiency metrics, remains a central focus. Cologix’s average PUE continues to outperform global industry benchmarks, reflecting the strength of our operational practices.
At the same time, teams are implementing advanced cooling strategies, including free-air cooling, real-time airflow controls and liquid-based systems. These technologies help to reduce our energy consumption while supporting today’s high-density workloads.
Powering Infrastructure More Responsibly
Energy is the foundation of digital infrastructure, as well as one of the most vital areas for true impact.
As part of our ESG strategy, Cologix continues to expand access to renewable and carbon-free energy across our platform. In some markets, including Montréal, facilities benefit from access to hydroelectric power, while in other regions, our flexible procurement strategies help expand access to lower-carbon energy sources.
As demand for digital services increases, sustainable energy sourcing plays an important role in helping our customers align their infrastructure decisions with their sustainability priorities.
Managing Resources with Intention
Sustainable operations extend beyond energy. Water, materials and waste are all part of the equation, and each requires thoughtful management.
Cologix prioritizes closed-loop cooling systems that reuse water within facilities, significantly reducing overall consumption compared to traditional methods. These systems support efficient cooling while limiting reliance on external water resources.
At the same time, our teams continue to improve material efficiency through recycling programs, responsible sourcing and ongoing efforts to better track and manage waste streams. These practices reflect a broader approach: focusing on how our resources are used every day, not just during design or construction.
